You get to decide if you want to answer as a student or a faculty member. You don’t have to be either right now, just think back to when you were last in the classroom or clinical learning environment.

I’m not a student or a faculty member but I have been a preceptor many times for BSN students, and also have had many ADN students in our clinical environment. The ADN instructors tend to be more hands on if the student needs more help. There wasn’t an option for that on my survey. My student days were long ago!
Most of my experiences has a preceptor for BSN experiences have been positive. SInce they are 1:1 experiences the actual supervisors of their experience aren’t always on site. For me, I am happy to teach but I expect there is some minimal level of competency by the student. When I shared with one supervisor/faculty member that the student seem puzzled with regards to using a manual blood pressure cuff, I thought she would take the student aside to review it. But she did not, and I was not impressed.
