- Gather with other nurses you know who support the Declaration, and brainstorm local issues that you can organize to take action
- Share your stories that illustrate positive actions and outcomes in your community. If you send us your story we will work with you to post it on the NurseManifest blog! Use our contact form to let us know what you want to share.
- Contact your local organizations devoted to protecting women’s reproductive rights, or veterans health, or supporting immigrants, and explore ways you can help.
- Organize to protect nurses in your community who are at risk, including nurses who have immigrated to the U.S. from other countries, Veteran’s Administration nurses, and nurses affiliated with groups protecting women’s reproductive rights.
- View the responses to the Declaration signature form and browse for ideas for action that other prople have posted on the form. Connect with people whose ideas you share!.
- The National Nurses United has a page “Nurses for Democracy: Resources” where you can download signs, posters and stickers related to 4 key action areas!
- Search for and share inspiration and information about actions that other people are suggesting, or that they are taking – and choose even one or two of their suggestions that you can enact. For example, here is a recent post by Robert Reich that gets right down to several specific actions!
